Vic Mensa has hit back at Noel and Liam Gallagher for their past criticisms of Jay-Z and Kanye West.
This Hip-Hop/Britpop feud began back in 2008 when Noel Gallagher described the decision to let Jay Z headline Glastonbury as "wrong". Jay Z responded by opening his slot with a cover of 'Wonderwall'.
More recently, Liam Gallagher has labelled Kanye West as "utter shit" on Twitter following his 'All Day' performance at the Brit awards.
At that time, Vic Mensa responded to Gallagher and his "irrelevant old man opinions". See both the tweets below.

Now, talking to The Guardian, Mensa has clarified the point he tried to make on social media: "I had a little thing where I said: 'Fuck one of the Gallagher brothers' on Twitter, and I was getting posted on blogs for 'starting a beef' or something. I mean, whatever."
The rapper continued: "Those guys are legends, but also dickheads. Ultimate dickheads. I saw they were mad Kanye played Glastonbury. They were mad when Jay Z played too. Feels very racist to me."
"They’re gonna say: 'No it’s not about race, it’s about guitar music, it’s about rock’n’roll', but I mean like, how many people do you feel are carrying the spirit of rock’n’roll in 2015? Would you not say that 'Yeezus', and a song like 'Black Skinhead', is carrying the spirit of rock’n’roll? I can’t understand how that’s not fucking rock’n’roll."
Noel Gallagher has also recently been under fire from the EDM community, most notably getting called out by Avicii and Deadmau5.
Speaking to Gigwise, Armand Van Helden responded to Gallagher's criticisms of EDM culture by pointing out the current cyclical state of affairs, where "the youth is always supposed to piss off the elders."
