Reading 2015 has officially kicked off, as beautiful sunshine bathes down on the earliest sets of the day.
Beginning proceedings over on the main stage was the Mexicana-tinged punk insanity of Mariachi El Bronx, pulling a sizeable crowd, young and old as the early birds showed that they were more than ready to start the party.
Neck Deep then took to the stage, inspiring pits and setting the tone of the day of rock that's due to follow, with the likes of Drenge, All Time Low, Limp Bizkit and Panic! At The Disco all set to perform.
"This is the first day, you've got loads of fucking energy - give it to me," hollered frontman Ben Barlow.
Speaking to Gigwise ahead of their set, Panic frontman Brendon Urie said: "When we first started the band, everybody knew about Reading and Leeds as the biggest festival in the world.
"The second we knew we'd made it as a band was when we were invited here. We were completely knocked out - it was fucking amazing and the coolest experience we'd had up to that point, it still is. It's pretty great that the crowd stays young. You're constantly getting waves of new fans - I'm guessing that most of these people don't know our band, and that's awesome. It's kind of why we play festivals."
Reading tonight will be also see performances from the likes of Mumford & Sons, Alt-J, Run The Jewels, Django Django and Newfound Glory, while Leeds welcomes The Libertines, Kendrick Lamar, Jamie T, The Maccabees and many more.
