Whitney Houston is getting the largest hologram treatment yet - embarking out a world tour next year.
Since the Tupac hologram performance at Coachella 2012, resurrecting dead musicians is becoming common practice. Selena, Michael Jackson and Eazy-E have all experienced a similar LED life-after-death.
Now, legendary diva Whitney Houston is getting the same treatment as a result of a partnership between her estate and Hologram USA.
The hologram will make it's transparent debut next year at "a major U.S. venue" and will follow the show up with a major world tour. The performances are promised to be totally interactive and "feature a selection of her greatest hits and will be interactive, incorporating audiences and special guests".
“It’s a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come,” Houston’s sister-in-law and estate president Pat Houston said in a press statement. “I look forward to the partnership.”

Hologram USA previously worked on holograms for Chief Keef, Billie Holiday, and Patsy Cline. The company’s CEO Alki David added, “The opportunity to help share her spectacular gifts with the world again is exactly what I hoped for when I built the hologram business. We’ve got technology that’s causing a seismic shift in the entertainment industry, and a wonderful partnership with Pat Houston and the estate — I’m confident we’ll create the ultimate celebration of Whitney’s amazing artistry.”
Houston was found dead February 11, 2012 after drowning in her bathtub, with Marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl were all found in her system.
