PJ Harvey has revealed the details of the album she recorded in public behind one-way glass last year - as well as an album trailer with previews of new songs.
Harvey's ninth album was recorded at Somerset House in London back in January, and members of the public were able to watch the entire recording process from behind one-way glass.
She's now revealed that the album is called The Hope Six Demolition Project, and will be released on 15 April. It draws from several journeys undertaken by Harvey, who spent time in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington D.C. over a four year period.
The new trailer, which was put together by Seamus Murphy, features new tracks 'The Community Of Hope' and 'The Wheel', and features footage of Harvey's public recording sessions.
Speaking of the album, Harvey said, “When I’m writing a song I visualise the entire scene. I can see the colours, I can tell the time of day, I can sense the mood, I can see the light changing, the shadows moving, everything in that picture.
"Gathering information from secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people of the countries I was fascinated with."
