Following the pandemonium surrounding a potential Kurt Cobain solo album, a lost cover of The Beatles' 'And I Love Her' has surfaced and will be released on record.

Brett Morgen uncovered a huge mass of previously unheard Kurt Cobain while preparing his rock-doc, Montage of Heck. This raw Beatles cover was among the tapes that Morgen trawled through prior to the film's release.

The track was previously unknown to exist, Morgen found the recording on a random tape. Cobain's version will be printed on a 7-inch and backed with another rarity, 'Sappy'.

The news broke after The Vinyl Collector forum posted a link to a pre-order page with a release date of 20 November. That's two weeks before the scheduled drop date for the Montage of Heck companion album which features a plethora of rare Cobain material found on the archival tapes. It's unknown if 'And I Love Her' will also appear on that record, as the tracklist is still unreleased.
