Eagles Of Death Metal's 'Save A Prayer' has entered the UK charts after around 100 people were killed by terrorists at the band's Bataclan concert in Paris on Friday (13 November).
Alongside a restaurant and the Stade de France, the venue in the French capital was targeted by ISIS terrorists over the weekend, in a series of simultaneous attacks that resulted in the deaths of at least 129 people.
The Bataclan was by far the most severely affected though - over 100 of the overall deaths were of people attending the Eagles Of Death Metal gig, including the band's merch seller, a music journalist and record label employee.
Since then, in a show of solidarity and act of defiance against the terrorists, a Facebook campaign has been launched in an attempt to get the band's cover of Duran Duran's 'Save A Prayer' to No.1 in the singles chart.
Subsequently, Duran Duran's lead singer Simon Le Bon pledged to donate all proceeds due to the band to charity.
@EODMforNo1 @DuranDuran will donate all proceeds due to us, from this version. Considering options that are useful, peaceful & uniting.

The Official Charts Company have now announced that the song is currently at No.96 in the midweek charts, a position that is expected to rise as the week progresses. According to the campaign's Facebook group, the song is currently at No.8 on iTunes.
