It gets tiring looking at same white-background, grey-scale press shots over and over. These portraits don't speak volumes about the bands that slouch against the backdrops sneering at the lens. What's refreshng on a morose Thursday afternoon is this totally unironic countryside shot of Bristol songwriter, Sam Brockington.
Hopefully you're a fan of the word rustic, because it's going to used flagrantly throughout. If you're not so keen on it, you're still going to love Brockington's music. After venturing from London to Bristol, with a detour through Melbourne, this songwriter has cultivated his own voice both aurually and metaphysically.
'Follow' is broody pop tune that's driven by Brockington's curdling low-register and warm jazzy guitar tone. There elements of both middle-state blues and folk but, at it's primary core, 'Follow' is a remarkably endearing pop track. Gently kissed with harmonies, the steadfast guitar groove bobs along at a contemplative pace allowing enough expanse for Brockington's sincerity to flourish, wait for it, rustically.

Sam has been making a name himself within the online blogs and took his songs on the road at Glastonbury, Leeds Festival, Y Not Festival and 2000trees this year alone. Suffice to say, there's plenty of room in your life for the provacative stylings of Sam Brockington.
