BRIT Award winners this year will be receiving exclusively designed awards made by the legendary fashion designer and punk artist Pam Hogg. Famous for her work within the music and fashion industry, Hogg will be creating one-off awards for the artists, and here's a taste of what they'll be like.
Following five years of exclusive trophies from the likes of icons Vivienne Westwood (in 2011), Damien Hirst (2012), and Tracey Emin (2015), this year the fashionista and former punk rocker has the distinct honour of landing the gig.
After her punk career, Pam made waves within the fashion industry, and is now recognised as a multiple award-winning artist for her fashion lines, remaining an in-demand name on the circuit.
Hogg’s costumes and outfits have been worn by various artists, including Roisin Murphy, Blondie’s Debbie Harry, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Siouxie Sioux.
In a recent statement, Hogg said: “An artist’s true reward is that her/his work resonates and connects. Given a chance, the unseen unheard and unsung may also one day touch and unlock a waiting heart.”
The BRIT Awards 2016 with Masterclass take place on Wednesday 24 February at London's O2 Arena, and will be broadcast live on ITV1. Ant and Dec will also return to host the show.
