Charli XCX's BBC documentary on feminism in the music industry, The F Word And Me, is now available to watch on iPlayer and YouTube. It features interviews with the likes of Charlotte Church, Marina & The Diamonds, Ibeyi and more, as well as the 'Boom Clap' singer herself on her desire to break the rules set out by the patriarchy. Check it out below.
The 40-minute film is well worth a watch, particularly if you think there's no more progress to be made when it comes to gender equality. The opening five minutes sees the singer, in an interview at Glastonbury, asked, "Have you remembered your bra this time?" Later, several interviewers draw attention her all-female band - something they'd never do to an all-male band.
"I think feminism is asking yourself questions," explain Gigwise favourites Ibeyi, before Rae Morris muses, "Charli is literally breaking all the rules, and showing young girls it's OK to be yourself."
