OTHERKIN are a fresh band from Dublin who have earned acknowledgement from Annie Mac and Huw Stephens through frequent radio play. Check out the video for 'Feel It' below.
The grungy Irish rockers build their songs around bashful power chords and infections riffs. Their electric energy and overdriven guitars have rejuvenated Britpop and transformed it into contemporary rock and roll. Their idols include The Strokes, Blur, The Vines, FIDLAR and The Clash, and their music certainly pays homage to them.
OTHERKIN’s latest video, ‘Feel It’ is a throwback to the sights and sounds of the 90’s. Presented in a VHS-style of static screen shakes and awkwardly vibrant colours, footage of the each of the band members performing the song is artistically juxtaposed upon each other. The band has truly captured the 90’s TV experience and it feels like pressing the pause button would trigger jittering stills of the video.
