With a new track in the ether and a brand new album announced, what better time is it for Animal Collective to announce to UK shows to accompany their massive world tour. Check out dates and ticket information below.
Their new album is titled, fittingly vague considering this is Animal Collective after all, Painting With. We don't know who and what that means but here is what we know so far. The new album is slated for a release on 19 February 2016, it's going to feature John Cale and Colin Stetson and will be released on longtime supporters Domino. Will it be better than Merriweather Post Pavillion? Only time will tell.
In the meantime you can listen to the first single off of this new addition to the band's discography, 'FloriDada'. It's expectedly high energy and blissed out, if you have been a fan of Animal Collective through their 10 albums, we doubt you'll be disappointed with this new stuff.
To celebrate the release of Painting With, the band have announced dates at London's Shepherd Bush Empire and Manchester's Academy 2 with support slots from PC Music affiliate, GFOTY (Girlfriend of the Year).
