Craig David might be dropping a mixtape with Drake. Recently speaking in an interview on BBC's 1Xtra, the '7 Days' singer teased the idea of dropping a mixtape, with none other than the Six God himself.

Don't call it a comeback, but it looks like 2015 has been a great year for the Southampton artist. With his recent 1Xtra Takeover with Mistajam and Kurupt FM,  appearing and performing at Major Lazer's Alexandra Palace show, the singer has also reportedly been working with Diplo, as well as Kaytranada, GoldLink, and many other producers.

Now, David looks to be dropping something along the lines of a collaboration with Toronto's finest, Drake. Speaking to Twin B and Yasmin, he spoke about the possibility of a collaboration.

“I've always got this thing. When Drake did the Future mixtape, I was like, 'Ah, fire.' When the time is right, when it’s really right, and there’s the Craig David/Drake mixtape, I promise you, not on a ‘get gas, beg a man to be on his record’ kind of thing, because he’s the hottest thing right now,” David said.

"I have to show right now and earn that respect now. I don't look at myself as a 30 million artist. I see myself as a new artist right now. You gotta be hot and happening. It's not about what you did back in the day, it's about '`What are you doing now?'

"So if I can get that feel, where I know I can, it's just this 3 minutes always away from a hot record. I promise you those rides that Drake does, all the melodies and going into rapping, bring that bro!"
