The soundtrack for the hugely-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens (which was released yesterday, and has been met with rave reviews) has been released, and is available to stream below.
The score was composed by five-time Academy Award winning composer John Williams, and is being released both physically and digitally. The limited edition first run of the physical edition features premium digipak foil packaging, and sleevenotes by the film's director, J.J.Abrams.
The soundtrack, of course, includes Williams' iconic main title theme, as well as a host of new compositions. Speaking of the soundtrack, Williams said, "This is new. This is different. But it's wed perfectly with the corpus of what Star Wars is. I've been lucky in my working life, especially with situations like Star Wars. It’s been a challenge, and fun and it's been a privilege. I don’t think there’s anything quite like it in the history of film."
