Rufus Wainwright announces show at Brighton Dome in June

This is Wainwright's only English date so far - he'll play in Wales the day before

Rufus Wainwright has announced a show at the Brighton Dome in June - the only England date he has lined up so far.

Wainwright released his seventh album, Out Of The Game, back in 2012. In the intervening years, he focused his efforts on his opera work - launching a new version of his first opera, Prima Donna, and a second, called Hardian, which will premiere in 2017.

This year, he's got a smattering of dates across the world between February and June. After announcing a gig in Cardiff on 5 June, he's now added a Brighton show the following day. He'll be performing at The Dome for his only English date of 2016 so far.
