Today could see a pretty special tribute take place across radio stations around the world in memory of Prince.
An idea that has started across the US, stations will be playing his classic 'Nothing Compares 2 U' all at the same time - to mark 'seven hours and 13 days' since His Royal Badness' passed away.
Notably, Sinead O'Connor's chart-topping cover of the iconic Prince track changed the lyric to '15 days', but it was Prince's beautiful and superior original that features the opening lyric "It's been 7 hours and 13 days, since you took your love away - I go out every night and sleep all day, since you took your love away …"
The initiative was started by station KCMP, inviting other Stateside radio stations to play the track at the same time, with many agreeing to play the track at the same time of 5.07pm. CT (6.07pm ET/3.07pm PT) - that would be 10.07pm GMT here in the UK, should the trend spread across the world.
Listeners are invited to film themselves singing along at the same time tonight around the world, and share it with the hashtag #NothingCompares2U.
"I think the shocking suddenness to Prince's passing and at such a young age have combined to throw the entire world for a loop," KCMP program director Jim McGuinn tells Billboard. "Like [David] Bowie, Prince's music made us all more alive, more accepting, more open to being able to express who we are. But, like no artist in our lifetimes, Prince united people with his music. Black, white, young, old, rich, poor, he cut across all boundaries with music that touched on rock, funk, soul, pop, R&B, new wave and jazz, and the world responded."
He added: "It's impossible to go to dinner or a party or a water cooler without the conversation somehow sliding over to Prince.
"We just wanted to honor the man we called our friend, and the music we all love, and thought that maybe we might be able to get radio stations all over the world to share this moment with fans who are missing this great artist."

Meanwhile, speculation continues to surround Prince's death - amid rumours that he had an addiction to painkillers and was due to see a doctor for it days before his death, while claims have also emerged that he was battling AIDS.
