Pixies have unveiled a new song, new album details and a string of European tour dates.
The frantic, growling new song, ‘Um Chagga Lagga’, will form part of their second post-reunion album, Head Carrier. The album is set for release on 30 September.
"This was a wonderful luxury, for us to have the time to be able to really work these new songs out," said Pixies drummer David Lovering. "By the time we started recording, we all knew the songs backwards and forwards, so it took half as long for us to make this album as it did to make Indie Cindy.”
Meanwhile, the band have also officially recruited a new bassist, Paz Lenchantin to their permanent line-up. The musician had been the band’s touring bassist since January 2014.
