Radiohead fans are eating pictures of Thom Yorke's face

The internet is a dangerous place

There's always been something a little 'intense' about Radiohead fans. After fans wrongly believed Radiohead would fail to announce the album, band-loyalists are being forced to eat their words, and their hero's face.

Much like most internet stories this begins in the depths of Reddit, this time on Radiohead's subreddit, where several naysayers are being punished for their skepticism - now that their new album A Moon Shaped Pool is upon us

User 'InsanityDefinition' begun a thread, “Alright, time to settle this. If LP9 is announced OR released tomorrow, May 6, I will eat a photo of Thom Yorke...There's a big debate going on right now on whether LP9 will release tomorrow, later in May, or in June, as time has gone on, I've found myself doubting a release tomorrow, just because I prefer pessimism over optimism". He concluded, "My fate is in the bands hands now".

Although there would be obviously little, to no repercussions, a number of users have kept to their promise after the album was released, much to many people's surpise. Here is the bizarre and yet somewhat unsurprising cult-like activity.

The first is a 25-minute (please do not watch it all) video, that begins with the guy retching:

The next fan makes Thom Yorke into a smoothie, which is kind of ingenious, but also looks a bit like cheating:

Now this man absolutely tears through Yorke, major props to the no-fear approach here:

Erm, where to start with this one. He savours every mouthful slightly, in perhaps the most disturbing video of the lot. Then again, he's probably the biggest fan of the music overlords:

These videos surely suggest some psychological issues with Radiohead fans, and you have to occasionaly worry for Yorke's safety, but you cannot doubt their commitment, not for one moment.

In other bizarre Radiohead news, one of the best and most viral reviews of the album has come courtesy of an eight-year-old girl
