Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose is reportedly trying to get Google to remove an unflattering photo of him that has been turned into a meme dubbed ‘Fat Axl.’
Rose, who is currently touring with AC/DC after their frontman Brian Johnson was forced to pull out of the remaining shows, was photographed by Boris Minkevich in Winnipeg, Canada back in 2010. The photo has since become a rather cruel meme, thanks to its unflattering angle.
According to TorrentFreak, Rose’s representatives have attempted to assert copyright over the photo, and ban its use online. Attempts to find the picture are met with a message from Web Sheriff, which read, “Copyright image of Axl Rose. Please be advised that no permission has been granted to publish the copyright image so we cannot direct you to an authorized example of it.”

It seems unlikely, though, that even someone as powerful as Axl Rose will be able to expunge it from the internet entirely.
