We should probably stop making all TV talent shows now, as they don't get any better than this: 82-year-old John Hetlinger barking his way through a cover of Drowning Pool's 'Bodies' on America's Got Talent. Check it out below.
"Hi y'all," he says, exuding an effortless cool. "I retired about 15 years ago, that's about the time I started doing karaoke."
Despite revealing that his most recent jobs include being an aerospace engineer, programme manager repairing the Hubble Telescope and naval pilot, he adds that appearing on America's Got Talent "would be probably the high point of my life and many careers."
We can see why. He cover of the moden rock classic is worthy of a winner's performance. "Nothing wrong with me," he barks through the track. Amen.
