Stones go back to their roots with ‘Blue and Lonesome’.

This new release by Mick Jagger an co. is their first studio release in over ten years.

The album ‘Blue and Lonesome’ was recorded in just three days at a studio in London and takes them back to their roots. It will be available in all formats in December 2016.

When the group formed they were passionate about blues music and after all of these decades of touring their own brand of rock and roll the boys have decided to head back to where it all started,

Blues has always been the heart and soul of any ‘Stones’ song if you listen to it.

The approach to this new release was one that saw the band being spontaneous and playing live without overdubs.

Solo star Eric Clapton (of Cream fame) and longtime band friend even appears on a select few tracks. He was fortunately recording a new album nearby and dropped in.

This is an album that embraces the music that inspired The Rolling Stones to form and to this day forms a big part of their work.

Tracks featured include ones by Jimmy Reid, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf’.

The tracks are - Just Your Fool, Commit A Crime, Blue and Lonesome, All Of Your Love, I Gotta Go, Everybody Knows About My Good Thing, Ride ‘Em On Down, Hate To See You Go, Hoo Doo Blues, Little Rain, Just Like I Treat You, I Can’t Quit You Baby.

“This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do.”
