Posh rockers, Royal Blood, took to Twitter to have a little dig at Nickelback whilst weighing in on the American Presidential campaign.
But what the troublesome duo hadn't thought through was the fact that Nickelback are almost well-seasoned experts in dealing with trolls.
Royal Blood brashfully tweeted: "Donald Trump + Hilary Clinton = Nickelback."
@realDonaldTrump + @HillaryClinton = @Nickelback 🇺🇸

Nickelback, like stoic grandparents sat them down with: "Nickelback jokes are like Royal Blood – they were a lot cooler a couple of years ago. Don't drink and tweet fellas. Stay safe."

In what is the most interesting thing Royal Blood have done since, well, ever, it is a shame that it backfired. Afterall, it is astonishing that some personality could be behind either of them with their hollow, radio-friendly, gimic rock.
But that's not to say Nickelback get off lightly, they are bassically the male version of Avril Lavigne, the fact that they still have a cult following of equal measure to Royal Blood is a surprise to say the least.
This truly is a battle of beige on egg shell white. The Royal Blood camp has been quiet since that one off single a couple of months ago, so in a similar vein to Sleaford Mods, maybe we can expect a tour announcement soon.
Credit to Chad Kroeger and the other members who no-one knows the name of, it's about time they stood up for themselves.
