Fleet Foxes new album tour Bilbao BBC Guggenheim reports comeback Photo: Wenn

Fleet Foxes became the ultimate go-to hangover band throughout 2011 when they released their near perfect album Helplessness Blues. Now it appears they're back with a new album six years later.

It's been far too long since the band have been on tour and they updated their Facebook page for the first time in nearly a year yesterday adding a picture of a volcano.

Fans immediately reacted almost as voluminously as the the image. After one fan asked if this meant they were bringing out an album, they replied "Alllllmost done."

Fleet Foxes became one of the most successful bands to be released on UK indie label Bella Union ever, helping it keep financially afloat as other groups made less of a mainstream commercial dent. They're loved across the pop and indie world and news of their return is wonderful.

The fact they are such a phenomenal live band really helped them earn such a feverish following.

Also, Spanish website Binaural reported that news of the band performing Bilbao BBK has leaked. They said it was just rumours but then singer Robin Pecknold jumped in on Instagram and said: "Can't wait first stop Guggenheim", referring to the Bilbao BBK event.
