Steps have announced a huge arena tour to mark their 20th anniversary and a new album due in April.
The 20 million-selling pop five-piece hit the UK and Ireland’s arenas in November for the Party On The Dancefloor tour, supporting their fifth album ‘Tears On The Dancefloor’, which is released on April 21.
The album, featuring contributions from songwriters for One Direction, David Guetta, Britney Spears and The Saturdays as well as a track called 'Story Of A Heart' written for the band by ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, is their first collection of new material since 2000’s ‘Buzz’.
“This is the album we think our fans have been waiting for,” the band said. “It was very important for us to have a hint of the past but to try to blend it into modern day music. We think Steps are a little bit of what everyone needs right now. We can’t wait to take the new album plus all our favorite hits out on the road”.
The first single from the album, Scared Of The Dark is released on Friday March 10. Tickets to the Party On The Dancefloor tour go on sale then, too. Keep an eye out here for tickets.
