An unreleased song by Washington based artist Car Seat Headrest is now on sale as via Bandcamp as part of a global fundraiser in support of Transgender rights. Check it out below.

The track is only be available for 24 hours so you must go and give the small fee of 2$ before midnight tonight. The Transgender Law fundraiser initiative run by Bandcamp has convinced over two hundred artists and labels to donate the proceeds from their sales for one day to the cause. The Transgender Law Center is a nonprofit organisation that works tirelessly to change law, policy, and culture for the more equitable.

Named 'War Is Coming (If You Want It) [March Mix]’, Will Toledo, real name Car Seat Headrest, describes it as "a song about not murdering people”. It is a humorous observational piece of songwriting on the fragility of personal as well as societal relationships and how we are responsible for other people’s happiness within them.

Sonically, it’s a departure from his previous post-punk work and begins with a loop of his vocals but then it’s back to form with jaunty angular guitars and his dead pan delivered vocals.

Car Seat Headrest are also going on tour around the UK at the end of this month:

Aug 29 – 02 Forum, London
Aug 30 – Ritz, Manchester
Aug 31 – Leeds Uni Stylus, Leeds
Sep 1 – Electric Fields Festival – Thronhill
Sep 2 – End Of The Road, Dorset
