Some of you may thank us for this news, some of you may not but all we can say is that Babybird are back.

One man band Stephen Jones has recording a new album, his first in six years, and is set to release it for public consumption this autumn.

Posting the official website he said: "Finally the album is going to come out. Hopefully in September if we get our razorblade skates on. Gigs also. Chrysalis are putting it out worldwide, even as far as Barnsley.”

“So here goes, we're holding our noses and mouths and diving into the retro pong the business call music.”
