Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd was arrested this week for trying to take a knife onboard an aeroplane.
The singer was arrested in New York on Wednesday (October 6) at LaGuardia airport after the switchblade was discovered in his hand luggage during a routine check.
Boyd has issued a statement explaining: "I totally forgot it was at the bottom of my bag, and when the security person pulled it out, I thought, 'Oh, no'.
"That was the most rock star of an entrance I've ever made," Boyd said. "The police cars pulled up to the venue and I literally walked right onstage."
The singer was allowed to fly later in the day to Raleigh, North Carolina where the band were playing that night. A police escort took him to the RVC centre around 20 minutes before he arrived on stage reports the Associated Press.
