The Horrors Snub Arctic Monkeys

The Horrors have revealed that they were forced to turn down a support slot on the Arctic Monkeys current UK tour.

Front man Faris Rotter told 6 Music that Sheffield quartet had approached them but his own band had their own commitments.

He said: "We had our own show booked and we're not going to say to our fans, sorry we've got a bigger date somewhere, see you later. We wouldn't do that."

And the singer added that it’s not the first time they’ve had to turn down such a big name.

He went on: "We get support offers from all kinds of bands. My Chemical Romance asked us another week, we couldn't do that because we were in America. It's funny the kind of bands that are into us."
