The man credited with turning the Rolling Stones into a massive financial success story has retired after 37 years with the veteran rockers.

Prince Rupert Loewenstein - nick-named the 'Human Calculator' - has stepped down from his day-to-day duties as the band's business manager.

Having got the band out of several scrapes with the Inland Revenue and record company contracts, Loewenstein has overseen the band's affairs as they've chalked up a £1 billion profit.

A spokesperson says, "Prince Rupert Loewenstein is no longer taking care of The Rolling Stones day-to-day business but is currently retained on some aspects of their career."
