It’s a sweet treat from the Dublin quartet who’ve just nabbed a major label deal

Today, Inhaler release their third offering, in the form of ‘Ice Cream Sundae’.

On the surface, the track sounds like shimmering, sweet guitar pop - but underneath the sugar-coated exterior, there’s a flip side as unexpected as the dreaded brain freeze. The lyrical content has a melancholic tone, as explains singer Elijah Hewson: “It’s about loss and gain. I like writing about normal teenage experiences that everybody can relate to. I’m just trying to write about the joy of being alive, being a teenager, and the bad things that can come with that.”

A flurry of decadent synths are sprinkled atop this sundae of classic indie- pop songwriting. Produced by Antony Genn, it’s their third single, which heralds their arrival into the big time, now that the ink is drying on their deal with Polydor. “I want to ride this thing until the wheels come off,” says Hewson (vocals/guitar).

In the spirit of surging forwards, Inhaler have announced a run of UK dates for December, yet true to form - there are only a few tickets left: they have an extremely loyal, ever-growing fanbase. Their trajectory shows no sign of slowing, so grab tickets while you can.

New December tour dates:

09 - Manchester, Gorilla
10 - London, The Garage
18 - Dublin, The Button Factory
19 - Dublin, The Button Factory
