More about:

Slaves exorcise their toxic masculinity in the testosterone-fuelled new video for ‘One More Day Won’t Hurt.’ The Kodak-filmed short directed by IDLES collaborator Will Hooper is a bitter, frenetic exploration of heteronormative masculinity.

The Metal-tinged song is straight off recent EP The Velvet Ditch and explores new, heavier ground for Slaves. Mimicking the fury of the song, the visuals are a bestial match to Isaac’s ripping vocals.

Teeming with nails, meat, meat nailed to things, meat sellotaped to biceps, bar fights, construction tools and tattooed white men, ‘One More Day Won’t Hurt’ is a peek into the mind of a “small-town thug.”

The settings, as you might expect from a video about such a character are a building site, a pub, and a deep, windowless room in which Isaac and Laurie are playing - tops on for once.

Slaves go on tour in December…this one’s going to be huge live.
