Yesterday (2 March), the Music Walk of Fame honoured its second artist with a stone in Camden's pavements dedicated to Madness. The quintessentially Camden band were given the honour in a ceremony outside Electric Ballroom at lunchtime, followed by a special session in which the band acted as Bingo tellers at the local hall.

Following on from it's inaugural stone laying in November - in which The Who received the debut stone - the Music Walk of Fame continued its project yesterday with Madness the recipients of the next 'Icon' stone and award.

Five of the band were in attendance, as well as Dizzee Rascal and David Rodigan, both of whom gave speeches.

The Music Walk of Fame will honour hundreds of aritsts and unsung music industry heroes over the next two decades, with the attraction eventually aiming to stretch from KOKO in Camden to The Roundhouse in Chalk Farm.

As with the Who stone, the new Madness addition containes a unique AR experience within it, which can be accessed via the official MWoF app, designed by Second Screen.

This week, two further artists will receive the honour of a stone and accompanying AR: Amy Winehouse tomorrow (4 March) and Soul II Soul on Friday (6 March).

Niall Green was at the unveiling to bring you behind-the-scenes shots from the Madness launch. See them in our gallery below:
