OMD have announced a huge new show for September. The iconic electronic duo will play London's Royal Albert Hall as part of their fortieth anniversary celebrations this September. The special event will feature a "unique and exciting set list for fans" that includes both "atmospheric" and "greatest hits" sections.

Two sets will be performed on the night, opening with atmospheric tracks from Stanlow, Statues and Ghost Star, plus a choice of early rarities and rarely-heard live renditions from their debut album OMITD.
Typical of the Royal Albert Hall, there will be a short break in which you can buy ice cream and popcorn, before another set begins, this one dedicated to their hit singles.
The announcement is part of a big fortieth anniversary celebration, which so far has included the release of Souvenir - a special box-set and collection of greatest hits. The band toured in 2019 to critical acclaim.
In an interview with OMD back in 2017, Andy McCluskey told us: "I don’t mind celebrating the past...I like the different hats I’m allowed to wear."
The concert will take place on one night only at the Royal Albert Hall on 28 September. Tickets go on sale this Friday 6 March here.
