More about:

Bluesy, atmospheric rock'n'roll for your Friday this week in the form of 'Chateau D'eau' by Joséphine de La Baume's band Film Noir. The Parisian five-piece have only a clutch of singles to their name, but with their new one, they're planting an intriguing seed.

'Chateau D'eau' tracks like a Tarantino soundtrack: vaguley-Western distant guitars chime a rushing storm of dusty electricity, the classic rock'n'roll vocals of Alexandre de La Baume the perfect foil to his sister's far-off vintage call.

Film Noir could not have packed more cinema into this one if they tried.

Fans of The Kills, Baxter Dury and perhaps even Queens of the Stone Age will enjoy this one. Listen:

'Chateau D'Eau' is the first track plucked from Film Noir's upcoming EP Tendrément, out in June. Of course, they've been featured everywhere from L'Officiel to BBC Radio 6 Music - being a de La Baume certainly helps.
