Songhoy Blues have shared a brand new single as part of their third album campaign. 'Worry' is a powerful, positive track infused with traditional Blues and Malian polyrhythms. It's the four piece's first song sung entirely in English.

Fuelled by a finger-shredding, fuzzed-out guitar riff built on the great tradition of Blues Rock'n'Roll, Songhoy Blues add a positive narrative to reverse your negativity. It's the perfect antidote to the tumult of 2020 and a great soundtrack for a world largely easing out of lockdown.

"Don't worry you're going to be happy/keep fighting today, that smile will come one day" Aliou Touré sings atop a multi-string rock out.

"The harshness of life still weighs on our societies and sinks many young people into a dead end", the band said in a press note, "Worry is positive energy that Songhoy Blues wants to be a ray of hope for humanity. Worry is about not stopping fighting because at the very end you will find the light."

The accompanying video was filmed last month in the band's hometown of Bamako, Mali by director Fansé Sanogo.

'Worry' foretells the release of the band's third LP, incoming this year via Transgressive.
