The Fratellis have shared a bawdy, rip-roaring new pop song to announce their forthcoming new album Half Drunk Under a Full Moon. 'Six Days in June' is a brass-filled knees-up filled with unadulterated joy.

Yeah there's brass, but there's also huge rolling drumbeats, falsetto hooks and the inevitable backing vocal call and response. Basically, The Fratellis have made a song ready for the Bingo Hall. 

It'll find its way onto many a cheerful playlist in the coming weeks, that's for sure:

The band have released an acoustic version of the track today, too. 

“Six Days In June was the last song written for the album, the missing piece of the puzzle,” says Jon Fratellis, “I was sitting watching TV one night with my son when the whole song came into my head. I had to jump up and run to the piano to play it.”
