More about:

The Psychedelic Furs have released their fourth single from forthcoming album Made of Rain. Another step towards the future after an almost thirty year hiatus, the new wave misfits are still doing it just as well as they were in the eighties.

'Come All Ye Faithful' follows the true banger 'No One', which arrived in April. On the new cut, the six-piece ascend into a seedy underworld where bass bulges, percussion clashes and guitars mimic a creeping swagger.

"I never really loved you I was laughing at you all the time" band founder and vocalist Richard Butler sings matter of factly. Jocular in its cruelty and indulgent in its sonic decadence, it's another example of how relevant the Psychedelic Furs still are.

Following 'No One', 'Don't Believe' and 'You'll Be Mine', 'Come All Ye Faithfull' heralds the oncoming release of the band's first album in 29 years.

No doubt in the consciousness of many more young people since the inclusion of cult hit 'Love My Way' in 2018 LGBT film Call Me By Your Name, The Psychedelic Furs have been climbing into the hundreds of millions of streams. The perfect time to reintroduce themselves, then.

Made of Rain had it's release date pushed back due to coronavirus. When it does arrive, expect greatness.

You can preorder the CD, or on Double Gatefold vinyl in limited splatter and colour variants now here.

Made Of Rain arrives 31 July via Cooking Vinyl
