Can you believe they've been on the scene for less than a year!

More about:

It's hard to believe that TV Priest are still very much newcomers, but it was less than a year ago that the post-punkers released their debut statement 'House of York'. Today they share their seventh ever single 'Press Gang', a slice of forthcoming debut album Uppers.

Nonchalant vocals contrast beautifully with an anxious galloping instrumental on this latest piece taken from May's Sub-Pop release. Inspired by vocalist Charlie Drinkwater's photojournalist grandfather and the terrifying inching of the press towards a post-truth world, it comes with a vintage Fleet Street visual romp.

It follows 'Slideshow', 'Decoration' and 'This Island', a song that confirmed TV Priest as "a band with one foot in the future and one foot in post-punk's storied past".

We spoke to them at the end of 2020 to see how they dealt with the toughest year in decades. Read it here.
