Charli Adams has shared her latest single, ‘Get High w/ My Friends’, a sparkling and relatable ode to friendship, and it has all the necessities of an unstoppable summer anthem.

Released ahead of her debut record Bullseye, ‘Get High w/ My Friends’ may well be the album's lightest moment, aided by its space-age synths and overall cheery message, written about Adams hanging out with her friends during lockdown and making the most of a dismal time together.

The fun doesn’t stop there however, with Adams releasing a wonderful lyric video that takes us, and her rabbit, through a brilliantly animated space, all in the search of weed and friends:

On the single, Adams said:

“During lockdown, I had a crew of six girls in my covid bubble that would come over and just go off together.“I share a lot of heavy shit on this album so I didn’t want to leave out this part of the story. I'm not encouraging escapism through drugs, it's more about whatever helps you feel more present.Personally, I like doing drugs in the kitchen with my friends. It's one of my favourite pastimes and it kinda kept me going through a really difficult year. It’s my ‘Put Your Records On’ or whatever...it's my ‘fuck it, have fun song”

Her debut, Bullseye, arrives 16 July via Colour Study. Pre-order it here.
