+ tours and a sabbatical

With their second album tour being rescheduled four times for reasons we’re all too familiar with, International Teachers of Pop have returned to release a fabulous electro-pop EP straight to Bandcamp - but it’s not all good news: the band have announced they'll be taking a short break too.

...Hopefully, these new tunes will be just enough to tide us over until they return.

Drive All Night (We Love E.U.) captures all the glamour, and lack thereof, of an EU tour. With tongue in cheek lyrics, emphatic synth breakdowns, and an energy unmatched by many, ITOP are at their best.

On the EP’s subject matter, ITOP’s resident synth guy Adrian Flanagan said:

“‘It’s funny actually - I went in a service station on the motorway for the first time in over a year the other day and it brought me out in hives - just walking past the fridges - the cold sarnies , the Ginsters pasty’s, the pick & mix that’s had a thousand snotty pawed little ankle biters sticking their fingers in  - the Jilly Cooper paperbacks and random country & western cds...these places are a Mecca for the simple fresh faced minstrel - but For me, it’s like going back to NAM or somewhere - where simply getting home quickly is always determined by the strength of another persons bladder!”
