More about:

21-year-old singer Andrew Cushin has shared ‘You Don’t Belong’, the latest from his upcoming debut EP. It also marks his first release on Pete Doherty’s Strap Originals label, who he signed with after touring with The Libertines.

‘You Don’t Belong Here’ is a fine piece of songwriting that takes elements from indie and Britpop sounds from across the years with a riff that will quickly get stuck in your head. Lyrically and sonically very strong, ‘You Don’t Belong’ is a testament to the skill of Britain’s latest up-and-coming young talent. His debut EP arrives 22 April.

Andrew explained the track: "This track is the start of a new journey for me. We’re on a new record label, have a new band, and are ready to release catchy and energetic material. ‘You Don’t Belong’ still holds the lyrics of a typical ‘Andrew Cushin’ song but the sound of synthesiser, indie riffs and big drum patterns take this record somewhere else. It’s a new sound that I’m hoping everyone comes to love."
