Kasabian have just announced their new album, The Alchemist’s Euphoria, with their massive new single ‘SCRIPTVRE’. With Serge Pizzorno stepping up as frontman after their lineup change, it feels like Kasabian are building a whole new world in this era. The Alchemist’s Euphoria is out 5 August on Columbia Records.

And boy, is it big. ‘SCRIPTVRE’ sees them stray further from the beaten alt-rock path that served them well in the past, instead making more experimental choices, with cinematic results that are primed for the third summer of love. You’ve got blistering drums, sharp electronics and orchestral drama, all in one place. This is shaping up to be a major reinvention for the band that had the ‘00s rock scene in a chokehold.

Serge said of the track: “‘SCRIPTVRE’ is about rewriting the story you tell yourself. Editing your own script”.
