More about: Pale Waves
Perfectly in time for the indie sleaze revival, Pale Waves have announced a new album. Moving further away from their original deeply indie sound and into more 2000s punk influences, the band share lead single ‘Lies’.

Recorded in Los Angeles with alt-royalty producer Zakk Cervini, his name is behind iconic works from Blick-182, Modern Baseball, Halsey and more. Leaning into Avril Lavigne-esque vocals with their signature hooking guitar riffs, Lies is sure to become a big one in their live set ahead of a heavy festival summer.
With the new album arriving in August, lead singer Gracie explains the meaning behind the title Unwanted - “It was really the only thing this album could be called, it’s bold and unapologetic, and that’s what the Pale Waves community is about. We don’t need to fit a perfect mould, we don’t need to apologise for being ourselves, and we won’t change for anyone. That acceptance is what connects us.”
Unwanted arrives 12 August via Dirty Hit.
