More about: Loyle Carner
It’s been a long wait for Loyle Carner song, but finally the artist has dropped a new track! Returning with his first single since 2020, Loyle Carner shares ‘Hate’ alongside a self-directed music video.
Returning to his legacy of meaning-heavy lyricism, packing the track with thought and purpose - ‘Hate’ kisses goodbye to the more mainstream, radio-leaning sound of his previous work as it licks with passion and anger.
In his own words, Loyle Carner said; "One of the few songs made from a hateful place. I was angry at the world, frightened and overwhelmed. It’s unfiltered. Really just a stream of consciousness that builds to an understanding that hate is rooted in fear. It reminds me of times the red mist takes over, and how alone you feel when the rest mist passes. Arrogant and self-righteous but at the same time vulnerable and somber. I listen to this one in my car, at night. Especially after an argument when you need to get space and take a breath.”
Opening up a whole new era of fresh political focus, vulnerability and anger - we can’t wait to hear what's to come next.
'Hate' is out now.
