I’ve lost track of how many times i’ve typed King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard lately - but the band are back again. Releasing the second of three albums arriving this month, Laminated Denim is out now.

King Gizz have been dedicated to changing the game recently. Abandoning the traditional release cycle to instead go into productivity overdrive, they’ve also abandoned the classic idea of the song to lean further into jam tracks, built through improvisation and extending into long timestamps. 

It was a move signalled back in March this year with the release of Made In Timeland - a weird two part musical odyssey. Returning to that world here, Laminated Denim is an anagram of the earlier title and a new iteration of it.

Talking about Laminated Denim, the band said; ““basically, we put together an album that was a kind of Made In Timeland Part Two.” 

Again with only two songs but each clocking in at 15 minutes - King Gizz are well and truly keeping their fans fed. And even more so now as they announce two London dates in March next year. 

Arriving in London to play a two night run at Brixton Academy on March 22nd and 23rd 2023, the 3rd album in this series arrives October 28th 2022.
