It’s a good day for Jessica Winter fans as she comes through with a brand new synth heavy tune ‘Funk This Up’ and also announces a brand new EP ‘Limerence’. The EP isn’t going to be released until February 10^th but fans are able to check out her new single now.

‘Funk This Up’ is a great single when it comes to showing Winter’s versatility as she leaves the atmospheric landscapes behind and picks up something a lot harder and funkier than she has ever attempted. Alongside the single, Winter has released a new music video which invokes feelings of glam rock, pop, and make-shift video tapes.

Winter discussed the song and video in more detail as she said, “the song began as a conversation with myself… the verses being in the present and reacting to the choruses where I embody the more deranged temptress luring me into the depths of addiction and chaos,” she continued, “the video captures two versions of the addict, the version that tries to stay balanced and together and the version that falls from the centre”.

With the new sound Winter is exploring, it’s exciting to wait and see what she might have to offer in the future, but fans and going to have to sit it out until February until they can listen to the new EP.
