As one of our 23 for 2023 selects, we finally have our first offering of the year from Molly Payton. Teaming up with long time friend Oscar Lang, the duo share ‘Bandits’, a road-trip ready banger.

Continuing Molly’s evolution, straying deeper into grungier waters, ‘Bandits’ is a rattling, rolling indie rock track with big guitars and bigger drums. Taking inspiration from all the great roadtrip movies and all the best on-the-run cinematic couples; it’s a love song at heart. With Oscar’s voice joining along, it’s a true duet ready for a loved up karaoke rendition.

Talking about the track, Molly said: “‘Bandits’ is a Bonnie-and-clyde-esque love song that I wrote for my boyfriend. We’d moved to the UK together after only having dated for around 6 months and were moving around a lot. I wanted to write something that said ‘hey I know we’re skipping straight to the real nitty gritty stuff here but I’m grateful that you’re around’. It’s rare to find someone that’s willing to drop everything and run away with you.” CUTE!

Hopefully this is the start of a lot more music from Molly this year.
