There is so much music out there. Some would say too much. Not us, obviously, but some. As such, you can’t help but feel a lot of respect for a musician who comes forward and tries to give people something new. That’s what you get with Jake Beck’s newest song, ‘CAVEMAN’, which is probably his most vocally and sonically ambitious track to date.

It starts off kilter, static, scattered, with a simple guitar riff ringing through alongside synth sounds. There is a clear beat there but it’s one you need to dig a little to find. Once you’ve been digging for 10 seconds or so, Jake’s vocals come in which mimic that set out in the intro, they’re scattered and static, incredibly fun to listen to and really easy to get behind.

His playing fast and loose with rhythm continues throughout the song, there is a call response element present and the chorus is incredibly catchy. All in all, this song is simply a pleasure to listen to and really comes across as something new and exciting.

“The song is a testament to the enduring human spirit,” said Jake, “celebrating our innate desire for connection, expression, and transformation. The song captures the primal energy and wild spirit of human existence, encouraging listeners to embrace their inner caveman and unleash their wildest desires.”
