Michael Jackson’s Indian spiritual guru is helping see him through what has to be the most intense times of his life.

Deoki Nandan Shastri made contact with Jackson to offer his support, reports Contact Music, and Jackson called back to ask Shastri for spiritual guidance.

Speaking to US tabloid The Globe, Shastri said: "He confessed to me that he was overwhelmed and terribly distraught. He said he just could not go on.

"He wept like a little child and begged me to tell him what to do... He was an emotional wreck."

He added: “After an hour on the telephone, he seemed more peaceful - more at rest within himself."
