Brandon Flowers has admitted that the songs on his debut solo album were originally meant for The Killers.
The singer, who releases 'Flamingo' next month, said he was struggling to come to terms with promoting material by himself.
"I wrote the songs for the band. I didn't write anything for myself," he told Elle magazine.
"I've only ever known The Killers. So it was strange once it became apparent I was doing this alone."
Flowers also revealed that he uses the alias Tijuana Heston to conceal his identity when staying at hotels on tour.
'Flamingo' is due to be released on September 8 and will be preceded by the single 'Crossfire' on August 23.
