The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards has hit out to slam the likes of Adele and Rihanna for using songwriters to create hits such as 'Hello' and 'Work'.
The legendary 'Brown Sugar' guitarist was talking to Time Out London, when he said that today's pop stars are more interested in 'showbiz' than in penning their own, original material.
When probed if on his opinion "that huge artists today like Adele and Rihanna use so many songwriters", Richards replied: "Well, they can't rely on themselves, can they?" Richards said. "We're in the midst of a heavy-duty 'showbiz' period, even stronger than when we killed it last time."
This is the same man who also slammed The Beatles' Sgt Peppers album as 'a mish mash of rubbish'.
Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones are set to re-enter the studio soon to record new material - while they're in the midst of a huge farewell tour, including a historic gig that took place in Havana, Cuba.
Meanwhile, Adele is currently in the midst of the biggest shows of her career. During her tour she has got a fan up to propose to her husband, taken selfies with look-alike fans and got another fan up to help her celebrate her 18th birthday. Oh, and she tried to twerk as well.
The singer is also headlining Glastonbury alongside Muse and Coldplay.
